 Philosophy

My teaching philosophy for saxophone students is centered around the belief that every student has the ability to grow and improve as a musician. As a teacher, it is my responsibility to provide a positive and supportive learning environment that fosters each student's individual growth and development. To do this, I believe in setting clear goals and expectations for my students and providing regular feedback and support to help them reach their full potential.

In addition to helping students develop technical proficiency on their instrument, I also place a strong emphasis on helping them develop their musicality and expression. This includes teaching them how to listen critically, how to interpret and communicate musical ideas, and how to connect with their audience through performance. I believe that these skills are essential for any musician and are what ultimately give music its power to inspire and move people.

Private Lessons

I offer private saxophone lessons both at my studio, located in Bethesda, Maryland, and online. Whether you are a beginner, middle school, high school student, a college student looking for another perspecitve, or an adult wanting to explore the saxophone, I am excited to work with you and curate lessons to suit your individual goals.

As a way for you to become familiar with my teaching style, and give me an opportunity to learn more about your saxophone experience, I would like to invite you to schedule a free trial lesson with me

Weekly lessons are available in 45, 60, 90 minutes sessions -- please contact me for pricing.
